President of Ireland's Dog Steals the Show

When Ireland's President Michael D. Higgins spoke to reporters outside his residence on May 2, his pet Bernese mountain dog completely stole the show. The dog was caught on camera trying every trick in the dog book to get Higgins' attention, to little, adorable avail.

The dog is only 7 months old and wanted to play so President Michael D. Higgins gave Misneach his
hand as a chew toy.

Unless somebody figured out how to breed one like that when I wasn't paying attention!

That is definitely a Bernese mountain dog.

do exist. Laddie was mostly sable and white, with a little black around the eyes and some black ticking on the sable. He was definitely a border collie, not a mix.

a full-grown Bernese mountain dog is about the size of a cow. Awfully cute, though.

That is how to do it - keep talking and don't let the stupids get a word in. The RW uses the Dems to drown them out and this President knows it.

given the format and air time to do the same thing every few weeks. Higgins take down was a thing of beauty and why the Irish are known to have a way with words.

He just loves our Cairn, Ozzie, and he's one of the only dogs Ozzie doesn't lose interest in within a few moments. His name is Hank Williams Jr, for reasons I can't imagine.
