They had been booted from public schools after multiple chances, and we were a last stand for them. They learned that often if they were aggressive towards teachers, or even the principal, they would be expelled, so when they started at our school they would typically try those same techniques. We never kicked any child out of our school, and in fact if they didn't come to school we went and got them. Over and over again we learned these kids needed parental role models, and we took that seriously. Happy to say we saw child after child succeed.

I found some were too smart to sit still.
Others so creative. A kid named Jackson drew incredibly detailed drawings during class. They always had trouble with attention span.

Never liked bullies tho.
