Diana Rigg of Avengers fame joins the Game of Thrones cast - plus, a ton of casting news

Diana Rigg was cast as Olenna Tyrell, the Queen of Thorns and grandmother of Margaery Tyrell. It's a very colorful role that I hope they do justice to on the screen, and keep a lot of her lines from the book.

A lot of other casting news, but some of the big names have been left out so far - Mance Rayder, Vargo Hoat & Daario Naharis. I'm guessing so they can get a separate announcement by themselves?

That would be just spiffy. I love that guy's work.

but, if they've already cast Tormund (a part he was speculated for), then who is he going to play? Mance Rayder? (Does Perlman sing?) I can't see him playing Vargo Hoat or Daario Naharis. Maybe he can play Tormund's member, though he might be too short at 6'1"?

The Love, Actually kid is Jojen Reed. His sister Meera is Ellie Kendrick who played Anne Frank recently in a British series based on her diary.

Orell is Mackenzie Crook.

Shireen Baratheon has been cast (and she looks great) but I didn't hear about Patchface being cast. He'd have to be, though.
