(31,121 posts)a bit confused. Having both had the same initial reaction to the movie.
That it seemed slow and unusual for Tarantino, both being avid fans.
Then we watched it a 2nd time and realized we were watching one of the greatest films ever made.
I have now watched it 4 times and cant wait to watch it again. But I LOVE Hollywood and I LOVE those old days because i WISH I had been there back then.

Only ever did that one other time. That was with Goodfellas.

(25,902 posts)I am aware that it is essentially an alternate history thing, and while I love alternate history in s-f novels, this one does not look sufficiently appealing to watch.

(28,276 posts)Brought back a whole bunch of mostly happy memories for this old-timer. I think it's Tarantino's best work.

(7,675 posts)I have to admit, I almost didn't make it through my 1st viewing of this movie. I was bored for 1 hour and 18 minutes in, then it picked up very quickly.
I've watched this movie 4 times and every single time when a certain scene plays I get a feeling of deja vu. I can't place the feeling, like I've seen something similar or the same motions. I just can't place it and it's a powerful feeling. Obviously I'm not going to say which scene gave me that feeling since I don't want to spoil the movie.
