1. I'd have a hard time preparing to fast after this recipe if eaten

for late brunch or dinner tonight. YEMV - Eggplant isn't one of my favorites except in ratatouille, so I'd be suffering as appropriate throughout the high holy Day of Atonement. My friends of faith - A humble and grateful heart for a happy year - blessings!

3. Eggplant and tomatoes and spices sounds good.

But no runny eggs, or eggs at all. Not an egg fan, unless it's a well done omelette or quiche. I can't tolerate them in any other form.

4. "Runny eggs" is not an appealing term.

A culinary site says they are also called "dipping eggs" - sounds a lot better.
