Civilization is not going to die. Humanity is not going to die. We are not 'weak and puny' as so many movies and TV shows portray us. Are we as individuals going to die, soon? Compared to the Sun or the Galaxy, yes it will be soon.

Some of it might lift if/when we finally get a foothold on the pandemic--have a season or two where it is endemic but manageable.
