(9,966 posts)That was my rule. I don't know where you live, but here in northwestern VA we're in Indian summer and still sleeping with windows open and a couple of light blankets. OTOH, I'm married to one of those warm-blooded guys who says periodically. "You only love me for my BTUs!" Last year I never put the flannels on at all.

(29,655 posts)on in late September. Ha ha, my husband has now become allergic to the chill ..I laugh at him wearing sweatshirts when its like low 70s. He never used to be bothered by the cold but now the minute its even a hit of chill his whole wardrobe changes. He has mentioned that hes a tad to warm at night as well, so off comes one flannel sheet.

(12,132 posts)My A/C is running full-time and will do so probably into February and then it might get one or two nights off.
I think it hit 90 here today lol. It was 73 when I woke up but by the time I got in the car to go to work I had to turn on the car AC too.
On the other hand I have thousands of miles of beaches surrounding me and the closest ones are less than an hour away.
