What an eye opener. I bought a new vacuum cleaner. My old one has been proven very ineffective!

I just vacuumed yesterday, so I tried out the new one and damn! And I didn't even get an expensive one, since I'm hoping to rip out the carpet and transition to using Swiffers on most of the floors.

I predict I will be sneezing far less than I have been, that's for sure.

Sophie isn't too bad about vacuum cleaners. She just saunters off to another room.

3. Cats can mess up a carpet, especially when you have

as many as you do. I think ripping it out is a great idea! Tile or wood is much easier to keep clean, and therefore keep your allergies down.

'Powerforce Helux Rewind. It has a retractable cord, which I LOVE.

6. I bought a house in 2019 and replaced the carpet with plank flooring. I was shocked at the amount

of dust that was underneath the carpet. During the removal that dust got all over everything. People had been breathing that stuff. I too have a big problem with allergies and am also a dog and cat owner. That carpet had to go. It had probably been there since the house was built in 2002.

7. If you have cats you need a good vacuum.

I found an attachment that's especially for pet hair, which tends to stick to rugs and can be hard to suck up. Fortunately I don't have a lot of rugs so the clumps of fur collect in corners where they can be easily dealt with.

How do the kittens feel about the new vacuum?

8. How's the noise level. I have an Oreck probably 10 years old and it's very loud.

I swear it's the reason I keep saying "What?".

9. It's not too bad. And it's much lighter than the old Bissell

The retractable cord is a real plus.
