The Freak Brothers are coming to TV! (Original Post) Archae Nov 2021 OP
I'd prefer that they'd run this on Fox News. It's hardly a greater distortion on reality than what OAITW r.2.0 Nov 2021 #1

One of the greatest underground comics. I guess they have to update it now that pot is legal.

The characters were sitting around a kitchen table and decided to stop taking drugs. Then frame by frame as time slowly passed and the drugs wore off, the characters were drawn more and more realistically until finally they were like actual photos of real people. The characters seemed uncomfortable, looked at each other and kind of agreed to something like "this sucks." Then they did a flurry of drugs and the next frame they were all drawn as their original cartoon characters again and all was well.

After the way Ralph Bakshi bungled Fritz the Cat (which is just coming out on Blu-ray along with its even-worse sequel if that's your bag, man), I was in no hurry to see the Brothers get animated, but pulling a Buck Rogers/Futurama bit on them might work. Maybe the series will improve upon the pilot...

I liked the trailer. It will be interesting to see if this can really work, or not.
