The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI just got a new cat toy for the Gang of Fur.
It's a round plastic track with a ball the cats can roll around the track and a central hub where you can put powdered catnip. The idea is that rolling the ball around the track causes the catnip scent to emanate from the hub and cause the cat to have even more stoned fun rolling the ball. I thought this could keep them amused.
However -
My cats managed to dismantle the thing within five minutes - they got the top off the catnip-containing hub and ate the catnip.
Now they are lying on the floor in little stoned heaps.

(47,675 posts)I put catnip in the track itself. I like spinning it in the air until the ball is whizzing around like crazy and their heads are following it side to side. Then I set it down and watch them freak out on it.
