(10,435 posts)They do talk about men's clothing, as mentioned that tan suit is the first thing to come to mind. Gym Jordan gets talked about.
The point is that she is not dressing professionally. Apparently there is no dress code, and sometimes it is pretty awful. Such as a couple weeks ago when she and the Maserati-driving Joe Manchin had their little huddle with Moscow Mitch & that other republicon prick. All the men were dressed in appropriate business attire, all the other women were as well.
If she'd dress like a Senator when she's on the job, no one would be talking about what she wears.

(14,049 posts)I'm inclined to think the casual nature of Sinema's clothing, rather than her gender, is what gets attention.
Any male Senator similarly attired in the Senate chamber would be subject to talk about his clothing choices, too.
Surely, some people are likelier to criticize women than men, and vice versa.
