Have you seen the movie about a haunted chicken ranch? It's titled "The Poultrygeist"!

There actually is a movie titled "Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead".

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poultrygeist%3A_Night_of_the_Chicken_Dead

I found this out when I went to search for the background on why I remembered the
word "poultrygeist".

And of course "The Chicken Ranch" was the local name given to the establishment
featured in the movie "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas".

There's just so much fowl news these days!

I never understood why people who believe in ghosts don't worry about all the ghost from dead farm animals.

Think of all the millions and millions of dead chickens, dead steer, dead sheep and dead pigs. Those animals would have died in many traumatic ways. And their bodies would never have been buried properly because we ate them. The dead animal's ghost would have every right to haunt us humans for eternity because we ate them.

Funny how most religious people (not all, considering India and Native Americans) and superstitious people always deny animal spirits and souls. How convenient for humans not to have to worry about being haunted by the spirits the animals they killed and ate.

They think people and animals have nothing in common, that we're not related. Only humans have "souls." Etc.

They do not know much about evolution nor anthropology - humans' biological, physiological evolution. We are nothing more than very intelligent animals.

smh.

I never thought about it but you are right. You have to accept evolution to think animals can haunt us.

Back in the day, I lived in another small town near LaGrange, Texas. After I started working in the late 1970s, many of my older co-workers claimed they had gone there in the younger days.

Sadly, I missed the opportunity.

I would like to have lost my virginity there rather than the way I did.
