Harold Land Quintet plays one of my favorite tunes.

"Grooveyard" was composed by Carl Perkins, who plays piano here (not to be confused with that other Carl Perkins of Rockabilly fame).



People who know Los Angeles will recognize the background on the album cover.

Oh yes.....those are the Watts Towers. I see them when I go downtown on the light rail. I love 'em.

I first heard "Grooveyard" on this album:



The tune was written in E-flat Minor, but here it is played in E Minor (which is easier for guitar players).
