(182,788 posts)Probably Tennessee coon hound. Adopted him two years ago (day before Thanksgiving) at the SPCA.
Great nose. Good runner. Great guard dog. Not a fan of the rain or cold - which may explain we he was found by the side of the road.
Very talented artist. Got that from her mother.

(2,735 posts)Or burrowing down under the cover snuggling. At least my Chihueagle does. Chihuahua / Beagle mix, acts very beagle-esque.
On Christmas Day 2015, during dinner, my husband heard something outside. He didn't see anything when he looked out the window so he opened the door to look better. This small beagle mix proceeded to trot in, sniff around a moment, then jump up on the couch beside us making himself at home.
He had a little orange collar on. Husband had determined not to have any more dogs and told this one he couldn't stay. He asked if he should put him out, but with the collar I thought we should take pics and put it on Facebook. No one came forward. We printed posters and put them around. Still no one. As far as we could tell, he'd fallen from Santa's sleigh. Two weeks later husband had to decide whether to take him to the pound or keep him. (I considered him a Godsend but husband was still resistant.) Husband couldn't quite bring himself to take him to the pound as I'd suspected. Soon they were inseparable.

(6,446 posts)she's got a real grasp of shadow and watercolor depth. Just as good as some of the children's book illustrators i've been reading lately! And i have a 2+ year old, so i would know... Enjoy your holiday!
