Likely behind the curve on this...

recommendations on whether or not to buy a smart speaker - Google Nest in my case, since we use MS / Android products?

What is the advantage over just using my phone for the same tasks? I think one is that I can ask it to play music directly, a better speaker than my phone.

We already have a little Bose bluetooth speaker, etc.

How has your little Bose bluetooth speaker worked for you? Mine has never been right.

What are you having trouble with? Be sure to hit the bluetooth button to connect/reconnect to your device.
