Van Lam (@vanlamphotography) is a wildlife and landscape photographer based in Massachusetts. His work is based on his passion for nature and he hopes to inspire others to realize the beautiful nature this world has to offer through his photography. He recently ventured out with his Sony Alpha gear to try to photograph the majestic snowy owl, and his super sharp results show what can be achieved with the right gear and a little patience.

Snowy Owls lead nomadic lives and travel vast distances from year to year searching for productive feeding areas. Some years, most recently in the winter of 2011/2012, conditions cause them to come south in great numbers.
Get an intimate look at these white owls from the north through video and photographs captured by the Cornell Lab's, Gerrit Vyn.

I lived out in the county n had owls around but very elusive. I even had bat boxes out. Now, Im in the city n we have burrowing owls that are being harassed by developers. Every inch needs to be concrete but these owls have protection with stakes n signs..does not matter. I wont even say how theyre being treated. Again.. thanks..
