Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, thrice is enemy action". - James BondGiven that they were bred to kill honey badgers, they're a bit of a handful at the best of times.
Peeing in odd locations I guess you could call "marking" or an "accident".
Shitting in my slippers has to be "enemy action", especially the third time this month.

(102,267 posts)I think you better take the hint.
But the bigger question... I try not to be wasteful, but still---you kept those slippers to wear after the dog defocated in them?

(3,521 posts)One night while a "friend" and I were in a horizontal position enjoying each others company the dog jumped up into the bed and proceeded to have massive diarrhea. It took something away from the moment.

(102,267 posts)came bounding into the dining room where eight of us were all seated--only to immediate barf under the table on everyone's feet!
Gawd I loved that dog!

(51 posts)And he had this thing for anything mint-flavored such as gum or mints or Tic-Tacs. If I left them in my purse, he would knock my bag over, grab it and hide behind the piano to eat it. One day we caught him eating Double-Mint gum, wrappers and all. When my oldest son went to take it from him, he bit my son's finger so bad that he had a bloody-spewing, puncture wound and then I had to spend an hour picking the gum and foil off the danged dog's teeth. Grrrrrrr! Hated that little psycho dog! He was cute, but sheesh!

(1,013 posts)But have faith, that's why there are so many of us proud to be dachsiemorons!
Little Dixie was born in mid July, come winter in MN, well she was still too small for the stairs and pretty much had to be kept constantly closeby. We had quite an argument one cold winter's day, she demanded to be kept in my coat with me, okay-but she also demanded that I open the top button so she too could have her head out to see what was going on.
She also demanded to sit on my Left thigh when car riding, like it was her barstool??? Don't care where she was put, she was insistent and always won.
Yes, slippers too, finally I got a pair of my own. She too peed in odd locations, but years later had decided that right in front of the toilet would do.
It took a while, but finally understood who was Pack Leader, who I was to obey, and that anything she wanted was in her contract to live with us.
Not that she was rotten, but after getting thrown out of both WalMart and the local grocers, she liked my large purse but that head insisted on looking out. Thus it was decided she could no longer go shopping everywhere. My Mate, would pick her up when she realized I was leaving, and he would then put her in the cab of his truck while I left in my care.
Now three of my friends one at a time volunteered to Dachsie Sit for me, but none of them would ever do it a second time, they would never tell me why.
Enjoy!
Lost NorthCedarCinnamon Dixie three years ago, and nothing has filled the place on that left hip since.

(62,414 posts)finally figured out that we had changed her brand of litter and she did not approve.
Once we threw the new stuff out and returned to the old, we have had no problem since.

No, really, I've been charmed by quite a few too. But they will bite your ass.
