I've used up all my hearts.

It was fun. I gave to people I hold in the highest regard here on DU and on posts I agreed strongly with or was impressed by the concise and thoughtful language of a post I believed was important.

I have enjoyed it. DU is my valentine - I really don't observe the date except to maybe call my son and make sure he's done something special for his fiancee.

1. I used to give hearts to folks who were Star members only, but this year I spread the love

everywhere, I realized that some folks just cannot pay...

But the rest I gave to people who did not have one. I remember what it was like in grade school when I never got as many valentines as my friends. It was painful, I hope the people I gave mine to cared!

3. It never occurred to me to give hearts only to star members. I gave most of mine to those who

had none. I have no idea if they were star members or not. I loved giving them, and even more so, that they're anonymous. It's nice, for me anyway, not to know who it was who appreciated or noticed I was here.

I always give hearts to those who don’t have any or only have a few. I want everyone to feel loved at DU.
