Still Channel Surfing ... ???

Who does that anymore? ME!

HA ... I mean I cut 'cable' a few years ago and I can just about stream any freaking movie or other entertainment online I want to watch with high speed internet anytime 24/7, not to mention the DVR. But I went and got two 'over the air' antennas on the house up there for like 140 free stations (like in the old days, but more compact 'antennas').

So, I still find myself "Channel Surfing" the over the air stations and actually going online to see what's playing and when. And I still run to the store, get errands done and get home before 'such and such' starts on channel so and so over the air ... WTF?

Is this an odd behavior, am I the only one ... stuck in an outdated habit I will never kick?

Last thought ... I remember as a kid when "The Wizzard Of Oz" would come on once a year over the airwaves and we would book it as a family night like 2 weeks in advance . As kids we just knew the whole world was tuning in that night ... and maybe that's it ... knowing you weren't watching such a great event ... like ... alone with your family. It was an event you believed 'everyone' was watching in the whole wide world !!! .... Wierd. Peace.

I originally 'cut the cable' not only because of the stupid expense, but yeah way too much content to chanel surf through anyway. 400 chanels is just stupid etc .. who has the time? So If I do watch a movie, I chanel surf what to stream now ha. Anyway one of my doggies name is 'Skadootz' and I sometimes call him Skittles as a nickname. Peace.

then I will stay up all night binge watching something....so I guess I can take it or leave it....still, I find it strange how many people I know can't find time to exercise, but stream stuff for hours every day.....

where did you get the name Skadootz from.....Skittles was the name of a 25lb black cat I had long ago (yes I named him after the candy)

I've never had a dog but I love them, and hope to adopt a senior rescue dog when I retire - am leaning towards Jack Russels and border collies because I love taking really long walks

It's a mini-series about the background of making "The Godfather" series.

BTW, Skadootz is a cutie (but you already know that)!
