Without trying to spoil anything, I entered a common word & got all the letters but the 1st one. It has a lot of rhymes, but I gave up after a while and just tried to get all the alphabet used. Finally I noticed one new letter not in the original 4 that I'd guessed. That was a visual rhyme for the previous bunch, so I entered it. And the site went nuts. I'm guessing now it has to do with the fact that it's octordle 88, an auspicious number in Asia.

8. Yes, it was weird

I figured someone would ask about it here but didn’t have time to check.

It was the combination of every answer being the same with the psychedelic graphics after the fact.

Clearly some attempt to play on the 88 but it was definitely weird

9. In the first block I entered "eight" as a guess and the thing went bananas.

Suddenly everything was "eight" and started spinning. It was okay this morning, so I guess it's just an eight thing.
