Definition of scuppernong

1 : muscadine (grapes) especially : a cultivated muscadine with yellowish-green plum-flavored fruits
2 : a sweet aromatic amber-colored wine made from scuppernongs

Evidently there's some poetic license or regional language differences in play here but for
Doc and Merle that's allowed. I've looked this up before and I'll look it up next time too.
