Do you take it in the car? If so, you otter look there if you haven't.
Twice recently I had to call the cell phone from the land line because it had slipped between the seat & the console, but was very hard to see.

When I go walking after work, I put my work bag in the trunk and it fell out there.

Interesting that you said Otter - I have one of these on my ipod (btw it's a classic - can't call it)

One of my first ipods died a wretched death by pineapple juice. So now I keep mine in an Otter Box and it does keep liquids out.
