Now that I'm disabled, I can't sleepwalk anymore, but this morning when I first came to, I found myself trying to check my email with the TV remote while sitting on the couch, where I'd fallen asleep last night. It took me a few minutes to fully wake up and realize why it wasn't working. At least I didn't try to sleepwalk - and fall over the coffee table again.
I've been a sleepwalker for as far back as I can remember, and even though I can't sleepwalk anymore, I still wear daytime clothes to bed, just in case.

(62,439 posts)My daughter and I have had some incidents during stressful times. Often surprised I haven't fallen down stairs or stepped out a window.

You and your daughter be careful too!

(25,879 posts)My younger brother used to sleepwalk when he was 8 years old. It didn't last very long, fortunately.

(12,158 posts)I wish I had outgrown it before I was 16 and my dad found me on the garage roof talking to someone who wasn't there. He woke me gently, but it startled me, and I woke up (sort of) and jumped down. Nothing broke, but my right foot still hurts sometimes.
Other than a few silly sleep issues, I am prefectly normal.
