On HLN this morning, the hosts expressed surprise to learn that the 1983 song "Every Breath You Take" by the Police wasn't intended as a love song. Sting wrote it, and in the lyrics, he assumed the role of a stalker. He said so himself.
From the first time I heard it in '83, I knew it was a stalker song. I see that DuckDuckGo knows too.

is getting close to a billion views on YouTube.

I love it too, regardless.

(49,044 posts)4. You're welcome! As soon as I saw that DuckDuckGo commercial, I wanted to
hear the real song again.
Though I'm sure sending viewers to YouTube wasn't what DuckDuckGo had intended.

I hadn't thought of the song in years until DuckDuckGo made me think of it. Now I play it again and again.
