(16,843 posts)Animals, like people, need adjustments to function better. I think my daughter has done that as well.

(46,363 posts)Every year I read about chiropractors who lose their licenses and/or go to jail for medical FRAUD.
And that is all chiropractic is.
This guy in the video is a quack, making a lot of money from the sucker owners of these pets or other animals.

A good massage can give the same results as these "adustments."
Every time I question chiropractic, someone mentions this Mayo clinic "study," or relates a testimonial.
And testimonials are worthless in medicine.
And every time, and this is EVERY time, chiropractic is tested properly scientifically, it FAILS.

Chiropractic for babies!"
Drain your wallet or screw over your insurance, for a wack job's fervent belief.
Should everyone take "homeopathic" stuff too?
Iridology?
Laetrile? (It still can be bought in Mexico)
That "Prevagen" over-advertised under-tested garbage "for your memory?"

(7,737 posts)I realize that any mention of anything other than conventional medicine tosses you into an online rant and tizzy....and I know you are dying to wrote "woo!" but- there are many Dr's that disagree with you.
Wake Forest Baptist (now Atrium) has chiropractors associated with them.
If you don't want to see one, don't. But don't broadbrush all chiropractors as "quacks."

(4,044 posts)What the video shows is the real deal. The practitioner is breaking up adhesions in the vertebrae that can cause pain and diminish the range of motion of those joints.
Have you ever cracked your knuckles? Feels good, yes? Fingers move better afterward, yes?
I speak from personal experience. A back-cracking chiropractor helped me through some difficult back and shoulder problems. I was all stuck and couldn't loosen myself. Now, I am unstuck and able to properly stretch without pain. If I keep stretching, I won't need to go back.
However, so many chiropractors go beyond this and use their credentials to do other things like selling hokey potions, vitamins, and spiritual retreat vacations. This gives chiropractic care a bad reputation.
