I've never even seen a scorpion. My shoes also don't get stolen by cats, though I do get cat visitors.

I think I would put up a sign saying ask me about shoes or something rather than relying on a FB group.

that we cover our feet. So he is being thoughtful about his mom's weird behavior.

When Ember was a kitten, she dropped little treasures inside my shoes and boots - bottle caps, earrings she stole from my jewelry box (she learned how to open the drawers), any loose change that I left around. I always had to check them before putting them on.

One day I kicked off my sandals and Ember rushed up to one of them and plunged her front paws into it. She was small enough to almost fit her whole body into it. She looked up at me as if she knew that it was funny and was playing a prank. "Gee, what big feet you have, mom."
