Kind of neat. It took about 4 weeks. A journey through war.
25 bucks thru Amazon. The money goes to a demining vehicle and what ever is left over goes to Ukraine animal shelters.

(218,756 posts)I wanted to support the cause(s), but I feel guilty over expecting anyone to work to deliver them in war-torn areas.

Oh, you get a Patron post card and a nice envelope with a Patron portrait to keep everything in too!

(218,756 posts)And mine just says that the package has "left the carrier facility" and "carrier has picked up the package." It's supposed to arrive September 29 - October 21. I'm betting it's closer to the October date, I'm in no hurry. I just wanted to support Patron and his cause.

(7,611 posts)I had kind of written them off when I didn't see any transit info for weeks.
I send money every month but for some reason this little contribution, when the stamps arrived, made me extremely happy. I own something that came all the way from Kyiv!

(218,756 posts)And Kiev is certainly in a beleaguered region - Back in the late '80s, my grandmother joined a peace group that had a "sister town" in the Caucasus Mountains of the USSR. When the group made their initial trip there, she invited me to go to make up the numbers. It truly was the trip of a lifetime, experienced world travelers dedicated to peace - and except for one woman, I was the youngest by several decades. We visited groups and cities all over and were scheduled to go to Kiev - but then Chernobyl happened, so we went to then-Soviet Georgia instead.

(35,507 posts)going to Babi Yar was one of the most profound experiences of my life. It broke my heart when Putin invaded Ukraine. I loved it so much there.

(218,756 posts)At first it said they were due at the end of October, then October 21st - But you were right, they were in my mailbox today! And I agree they're a great thing to have, as well as supporting a cause. And my friend suggested that the 7 Ukrainian stamps on the envelope they came in are collectibles as well. So grateful to have them and that they finally arrived safe and sound! With love from Patron...
