I have some sad news to report -- bluecollar2 has passed away

I was informed earlier this evening by his aunt that bluecollar2 has passed away suddenly. She asked me to pass this news on to you all, and to add him to DU's In Memoriam page.

As bluecollar2 he was a member of DU since January 2017, but he only created that account after the infamous 2016 election day hack interfered with a lot of people's access to the site. Prior to that he was known as BlueCollar, and he joined in May 2001, just a few short months after DU was founded.

His aunt informs me that he valued all of you as a trustworthy source of information, particularly when it came to information about Medicare. He was an avid Liverpool supporter, and aside from the main political forums, his favorite group on DU was the Soccer/Football group.

My condolences to his aunt and to the rest of his family. We'll remember him on the In Memoriam page as BlueCollar -- member since 2001.
