They didn't all go extinct. Some grew feathers, survived the Cretaceous Extinction and learned to fly. Or learned to fly and then survived the KT. Jury's still out on that part, but dinosaurs they are.

eggs size of a coffee bean. HUGE for a wee hummer. i've seen them lay eggs. 1/2 the bird is egg.
