This video attempts to visualize what it's like to literally, "trip on acid" at varying levels of intensity.
IMO, it's so accurate that I was concerned, as I watched it, that it may trigger an "acid flashback"!

(23,099 posts)Some of this rings true, but my trips were often a lot more psychedelic, more like the kaleidoscope effects shown here, but not quite as intense as that usually. One of my best acid trips was sitting on a dock, watching the amazing rain clouds, then rain come to the river then up to us. The wind was blowing, the river roiling, the clouds billowing and scudding and all were timed to my music - perfection!
When I was in my late 30's I had a trip that didn't go well, I couldn't talk and kinda freaked out about it. That was the end of 15 years of doing psychedelics. I didn't do them that often after my early 20's, but still did occasionally up until that point, although I had switched from acid to peyote, mescaline or mushrooms. I just felt like my time for these was over if it made me feel so disconnected and have never done any since.

My brother and I were just talking about it the other day. I love them when they are in black and white.
It's too bad about the bad trip. I've been doing psychedelics for 50 years and never had one.
