Some days dawn grey and cold and match the December in one's soul

And it is a chore to count blessings that lie nearly hidden by despair
There is often nothing that can be done in the now except
Endure---survive---persist
And hope to greet tomorrow's sun

Would I rather be golfing? Of course. The birds and squirrels appreciate the bird feeders on a grey and cold morning. Our 3 outside cats appreciate their heated cat houses in the garage on a grey and cold morning. If I have to shovel snow I look upon it as getting my daily workout, I skip riding my bike one day.

Plus I did buy 2 new batteries for my cars with lots of cold cranking amps just to be ready for grey and cold mornings.

I am of good spirit. I finished my Christmas decorationing yesterday; my cat ate a pretty good amount of food this morning. That's always a good thing. At her age she's eating less and less, and I got a surprise package of Macy's European Chocolate Biscuits delivered to my front door just an hour ago.

I just don't know who of my wonderful family or friends sent them to me! No card. Guess I'll be making some phone calls.

I hope you all also have as good a day!

Atticus, that's an inspiring verse.
