I've been experiencing certain "symptoms," and so last night I looked up the symptoms for something I thought it could be. Well, there were too many matches for my comfort, and I didn't sleep most of the night worrying about the worst outcome.
I've had an appointment scheduled for some time with a major clinic in the middle of next month, but last night was my first foray into the darkness of what the possibilities could be....
Did I mention I freaked out?
I didn't have such a bad day today in spite of the lack of sleep....I think from here on out, I'll just leave google alone for diagnostic purposes....

(182,861 posts)BTW lack of sleep tends to hit a human body more the second day after rather than the next day. Im a big believer in kicking back for 20-30 minutes in my office in the middle of the day - my own personal Siesta program I call it. B12 is a big energy boost if you need it.

B12 is great, and I often take an afternoon nap.
So, I'm on the same page as you....

(24,759 posts)It was either stomach cancer or heart attack (in my mind).
Likely heartburn. But it took a double dose of everything to settle it!
Hang in there!

(31,035 posts)Hernia. Dr Google can be quite alarming. I freak out regularly. So I moved up my doctors appointment and she checked around didnt see anything too alarming, but schedule a CAT scan. So now I feel like at least I have put it in the hands of the experts and I can stop the self-diagnoses. Two weeks until the CAT scan. One thing you learn is you always gotta wait. If it doesnt go away get an expert opinion it can be a relief. And its always better if you catch something early

I can't move the appointment, except to later, and that would mean MONTHS later, because they are always so busy. I guess I could call to request if there are any cancellations to move me up.....I'll do that tomorrow.

(24,026 posts)...on her baby's feet when he had a cold. I was not familiar with this, and thought it sounded ridiculous. I Googled it, and, at that time, the only thing I found was one woman's personal blog which said, "Oh, yes, this works because babies breathe through their feet."
I remember thinking that anyone who believed BS like that shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a baby.
She probably believed in all the weird remedies for COVID....
