We get so many robocalls and phone solicitations on our home phone, several this morning.....

.....already, that when I just answered an old fashioned "wrong number" call from what sounded like a very polite older man, I had what I thought was a funny reaction. He asked for someone by name, "I'm sorry sir, but you must have the wrong number", "Oh, I'm sorry, I'll try again", "No problem, bye".
Hadn't had a call like that in awhile and what I felt was no less than nostalgia, when a small and infrequent human error was no big deal. Today idiot phone banks and computers are in the business of bothering us every day.

If it is someone else, they can leave a message and I will decide whether to return the call or not.

Oddly we have been doing this for years and just recently we are getting few calls anymore.
