Einstein the parrot really *does* give a shit:

Both figuratively and literally.
(Title stolen from a Reddit comment)

Einstein supervises while Jeff installs a cooktop

Einstein Parrot

Nov 9 2022

Einstein is in the kitchen supervising Jeff, as he replaces the cooktop that Einstein broke several weeks ago. Einstein is excited to see Gunkle Mark in a few weeks. When Jeff bumps his head on the cabinet, listen to Einstein's reaction. It's amazing and demonstrates that Einstein really understands and has empathy. Einstein is also asking everyone to subscribe, something he. learned long ago and is saying again. Subsquirrel is a new combo word! Einstein broke the cooktop when he lifted a heavy plate with his beak. It fell back down on the corner of the cooktop and the cooktop cracked. I apologize for the sound quality. My iPhone mic was struggling to pick up Jeff's voice as he was farther away from the microphone and speaking away from it. Closed captions are uploaded if you have difficulty.

Einstein Parrot is a very talkative African Grey Parrot! He lives with us in our home in Texas and was hatched on June 15, 1997. Einstein is a silly, smart, and popular parrot who loves to talk and entertain! He is famous for his impression of Matthew McConaughey, (

• Einstein thinks M... ) NOT the "Einstein" that was featured on the TV show Animal Planet. He likes to talk on various "parrot approved areas" in our home, such as the kitchen drawer, the shower, kitchen chairs, napkin holders, and of course his play perches! Einstein has brought much joy to our lives, but training and living with a parrot requires time, patience, and sacrifice. Read about Einstein's feather picking here: https://bit.ly/EinFeathers

caretaker, he loved my husband and children, but never warmed up to me.

Our dining room light was circular and had 3 levels of glass, often when we would come home, we would kind of drop our keys on the glass. That's how I would know when someone was home. He mimicked that sounds so perfectly and loved to trick me all the time, and it worked.

He loved the movie Rio and was very smart, he only ever let me handle him, if he got caught somewhere like high up on the curtains, the rest of the time he would literally dive bomb my head. I have had a life long fear of parrots and he sensed it. My friend chased me with her Macaw when we were in the 4th grade, after that I was afraid.
I loved him very much, even when he tried to bite my finger off and I almost needed stitches.
I miss him all the time, RIP Smokey

He puts a lot of stuff in correct context, which makes it funny.

I suppose if you wanted a bird to repeat say stuff 1 or 2 rooms away. That seems to be where my guy picked up most, such as T-Rex noises from movies.
