Remembering FEAST was the Wordle answer this past Thanksgiving, I thought Wordle might go for a theme for today so I tried to play IRISH as my start word, but Wordle said that wasn't in its list of possible words. Not willing to give up so easily on my idea of Wordle going for a theme, I tried GREEN as my start word. One yellow, four whites. Since CIDER was yesterday's Wordle answer, I next tried a word that goes along with CIDER, APPLE. Two yellows, two whites, one green. It took me two more guesses to get MEALY. Wordle seems to have a fascination with words ending in Y.
