The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsWell, another filling just fell out...this is the second one in a month. Dentist told me not to eat
hard candies, so I stopped. But this time I was just eating chocolate, soft but not sticky (or so I thought). I'm seeing him Monday for another reason but had to advise his assistant that I was coming in for another filling. At my age I'm afraid of losing the tooth.
Just writing this makes me feel like a whiner so I'll stop whining now.
OK. Tell me any ideas of sweets I could eat that won't my teeth fillings fall out. (Don't advise me to have a glass of wine, I gave that up about a year ago). And hubby and I both snack on raw vegetables and have improved our overall diet a LOT.

I'm sure the dentist can save your tooth, or at least I hope so, they can do a lot these days. Not cheap but they can do it.

(63,912 posts)I ran thru my deductible in my dental insurance in about a month. Just wrote the dentist a check for $900 for previous work. Insurance will cover the cleanings and I have one next month. Hoping the stains will come off because brushing doesn't do it.
He'll save the tooth. What is left of it still looks okay.
I remember what my mother said when she asked how old she was and I told her she was 90. She said "Oh, no wonder I look like hell."

(86,596 posts)Ice cream usually makes it better but I like the whipped cream idea!
I'm a fool for cake, if you want me to show up at some event, just tell me there's going to be cake, I'll be there.

(86,596 posts)Have that many sweets in the house, I'll eat them all at once and be sick for days. I don't know why I do that sometimes, probably because it's easier than cooking.
