I get it done every 3 or 4 years for the last 30 years. Lucky my condition has improved over the years. Take my meds every morning limit spicy food. I’ve had several friends die from the same thing they left untreated and it turned into cancer.
I’m pretty use to the test by now. No problem
Best of luck.

Had trouble with raspy throat, occasional swallowing and constant irritation; not like a sore throat, just irritation which has gotten progressively more irritating. Of course was concerned it might be cancer as I was a smoker until about 20 years ago. Had the endoscopy done which was followed up with a CAT scan. Scan revealed swollen vocal chords but no cancer.

Currently on medication to control GERD which I had never heard of. But evidently, it's acid reflux which can irritate the throat and vocal cords. Irritation has greatly diminished, but raspy throat continues to present particularly when I'm in a long conversation like on the phone or I try to sing. Have a follow up appointment end of June.
