Arthur Tiger for President! Check out the Conservators' Center website, support (big) animal rescue

http://www.conservatorscenter.org/about.cfm

Arthur is a gorgeous white tiger rescued when he was 3 months old; he has been at the Conservator's Center in Mebane, NC ever since.

This presidential campaign is, of course, an effort to raise awareness of the Center as well as the trade in wild animals.

A friend of mine rescued a tiger from a caged (some say 'canned') hunt and kept her as long as she could afford to do so safely before we helped her get her tiger, Tia, to the Conservator's Center.

Anyway - check out the sites if you're so inclined, and if you have an interest and spare cash, donate, or "adopt" one of their large cats, or wolves, or binturongs, or whomever strikes your fancy.

Thanks!

A fabulous organization run by dedicated, selfless people, that rescues abused and abandoned wildlife, educates the public, and works for conservation.

If you live anywhere near the Mebane, NC area (RTP & Triad folks take note), do yourself a favor and book a tour. Once you've heard lions roaring 5 feet away from you, you will never, ever be the same!

queenjane - have you been to CC? I haven't yet, but I'm just so glad they exist, and that I know from a good friend (Tia's "mom&quot what a good place CC is.
