Now THAT'S obsolete! Even if the battery still worked, I'm pretty sure there are exactly zero networks it could connect to today. The first cell phone I remember seeing had a standard phone handset connected to a case the size of a car battery, and THAT was considered high tech at the time! I'm not interested in any of the iPhone type things. I've got computers. I need (and have) a flip phone for durability and conservation of pocket space and I use it to place and receive calls. That works.

My plain old Tracfone dumbphone does what I want-i.e. makes calls receives calls and costs me about $7/mo.

The Sony Playstation type phone, that I could not find any where.
Well, maybe 2 years old. Did it ever come to the US?

very similar to that, it was my favorite. My husband is pushing me to get an Iphone now because of the various functions he says would be useful for me.

Back in my day, cell phones only had cameras, GPS, music players and microSD slots - and we liked it that way! grumblegrumble...
