for what happened to Oppenheimer later, after the bomb. I thought it was very interesting and well-done. A few years ago I read the biography "American Prometheus" that provided a lot of background for the film - Oppenheimer was a pretty fascinating and conflicted guy, and he was treated very badly after the war. Give the movie another chance, it's very good.

make the actors return to the production recording booth to re-recapture dialogue to make it clearer. Not sure why that is his policy, but it was a problem. So, I might try streaming with closed captioning on.

That said, I'm a big fan of Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinder's fame) who really captured the role. And, I thought it was both an important and well-done film overall.

overtakes the dialogue and it feels like a rush job of background info they wanted to squeeze in. It gets better after that.

I'll try Oppenheimer one of these days but I always think his stuff is overrated.

I did like it well enough after I got over that hump. I took a break to get my ire down though.
The performances are solid and that helped a lot.

It could have been better but it was still a good story overall.

Damn! I wasn’t supposed to tell anyone. 😡

I haven’t seen it. It was on when I got back from running errands - peacock it came in after the soccer game.

I hope he does win. He was unbelievable in “Chaplin” and of course Julian, poor Julian.

I liked the first part with all the famous physicists. The politicswas boring; it was easy to see whothe bad guy was.
