The boss got inappropriate with me today at work.

Actually, he got inappropriate with everyone. He got some emails with some right wing propaganda in them and decided that everyone at work should read them. So he made 28 four page copies of the emails and stapled them to everyone's checks. When we clocked out, we got a bunch of bullshit along with our checks.

I'm tempted to research the "facts" presented in the emails and return a rebuttal, but I don't need to get on anyone's bad side. Once you get a bad reputation there you can never straighten things out and you get treated badly a lot more.

It would be funny if it weren't so sad. The first three pages are all about how Obama and the Democrats wrecked the economy and are leading us down the path to socialism, even going so far to say that we will be a socialist society if Obama wins re-election. Then the last page is about social security and how we are about to lose our benefits because of the stupid politicians.

Most of the guys there seem to be of the conservative persuasion, but few of them actually get into politics. Just the usual bigoted stuff. I'm just doing my time there anyway. No need to rock the boat. I'm not retiring from that joint. All I need is three years.

How are you doing tonight, Peggy?

I worked for a Civil District Judge named Wyatt Heard. He was a Democrat and a cool guy.

He had a rubber stamp for jury questions the lawyers submitted to him that he rejected.

There's nothing in federal law that prohibits it and a quick glance at employment discrimination laws in Indiana didn't turn anything up.

Unfortunately assholery isn't always covered under the law.

(2) exhibits in the workplace of the person's employees a handbill or placard containing a threat, notice, or information that, if a particular ticket, candidate, or public question is elected, approved, or defeated:
(A) work in the person's place or establishment will cease in whole or in part;
(B) the person's establishment will be closed; or
(C) the wages of the employees will be reduced;
or that is otherwise intended or calculated to influence the political opinions or actions of the employees;
commits a Class D felony.

This statute doesn't fall under employment discrimination, so in order for there to be a crime the person would have to make some kind of threat. If all he did was hand out wingnut propoganda as the OP suggests I don't think there's a law being broken.

Not that it's likely to get you anywhere, make a complaint anyways. Best you can probably hope for is he gets a light rap over the knuckles and told not to do it again, but even that's not going to be good for his blood pressure.

So without a threat of some kind, I'm not sure there's any violation of the law. There could also be a down side to reporting it. The cop (if he happens to be a Republican) might tell the employer who turned in the complaint. The results from that would be highly predictable.
