Reminds me of when I stopped at a precious furniture boutique for directions (the only place to stop) and the salesperson was snooty and barely responsive, and on my way out I couldn't resist sniping as I gestured to a coffee table, "We guys could make that out of 2 by 4s."

She didn't miss a beat, said, "And we women have to PRETEND to like them!"

and I will be 80 in a couple of months and have seen a multitude of pallets in my day. I would love to see it maybe painted in rainbow colors or maybe stained with a nice light pine or oak stain.

I made one creditable garden tence out of them and once it got a coat of dark green paint, it wasn't even ugly. Can't say the same about friends' furniture made out of them. Cable spools made better furniture.

Yes, we were poor.

🔨😁 👍
It really looks nice!

We had a sculpture in Art College using wood, so I got to use a few of the saws, and sanders. 👍

My sister has the little, (stained) black, rectangular stool my dad made in his HS woodwork shop!
Since he probably made it around 15 yrs old, he died at 90, 13 yrs ago:
it's around 88 yrs old.
Family heirloom! 😄🧡
