It’s spring forward fall back. At least it was where I grew up.

On a clock dial at 12 which direction is ‘up’?

Not-so-smart devices like solar timers, alarm clocks, thermostats, even vehicles...not so much. Many of these feature non-upgradeable daylight savings time tables.

My old clock radio automatically springs forward and falls back based on the old dates for daylight saving time. And because it also automatically syncs with the national clock, wherever that is (in CO?), I can’t even just change the time! I have to adjust the time zone I claim to live in four times per year in order to keep up with the times. Lame.

and since it's a leap Year, and we get a whole extra day, does 1 hour really matter?

And is the time change going to make my cat happy or sad as far as when she gets fed?

If we turn the clocks back, we re-do the same hour, thus gaining an hour.
