So fascinating ...Yeah, I've known about the dino-bird bird evolution.
This added a whole bunch of new to me details. Twelve X's size reductions. The increase in feathers to provide better insulation as they shrank, and some eventually evolving into flight feathers.

One of my favorite comics Rose Is Rose - has Rose listening, and talking to the birds on the tree outside her suburban house window. One of their phrases - 'We the descendents of the mighty dinosaurs!'

So this one strip - the birds have returned from warmer climes over Winter. They exclaim, "We the descendents of the mighty dinosaurs have returned! Hear us roar!"

Their "roar" comes out as bird tweets w the music notes in the air.

Rose smiles, and says "Ah, I haven't heard that song in a million years".

I think that's a play on us humans having descended from apes/primates(monkeys)/some medium size mammal/and finally down to the tiny mammals running around on the ground, and in trees trying to stay untrampled(!), and uneatened from the dinos.
