Well, I have to get a new debit card....... fraudulent $36.00 charge....

🤬 🤬 🤬. Saw a charge for $36.00 for a DoNotPay entry. I wrote and asked please cancel this account. They wrote back and said I need your phone and e-mail as to how you opened this account. I wrote back and gave her my phone and e-mail. She writes back saying they have no record of these to have opened the account. Then she writes back “Kindly confirm that the account is associated with yoshiko@zenithinbox.com”. I wrote back, no I won’t as I have NEVER heard of this yoshiko@zenithinboxcom. I go to google find it on Facebook, check it out and there hasn’t been activity since 2021. I immediately call my credit union and tell them the situation they cancel my debit card and I can go pick up new one tomorrow. I probably won’t get the $36.00 back, just thankful it wasn’t thousands.

I got a notice from my bank that $232.60 had been charged on my card. Someone from Tokyo purchased Adidas on their on-line shop.
No change to me and a new card is being mailed.
It turned out ok but still made me nauseous and sad. Someone has new tennis.

I have spent this past week dealing with the same.
- We discovered fraudulent Uber rides on our Chase account. Since you only need to provide a CC# to make an Uber account this is an easy one for the thieves.

They’ve got ALL my info. Including my SS#!

They also ordered a new CC from Chase in my name.
They gave Chase their “new phone #”. I had not ordered one so, we were able to nix that. The thieves will have a credit card sent to your address then, once you’ve activated it, they receive confirmation that it’s been activated on THEIR phone & then they go to town.

I’ve frozen my credit & put codes on my accounts etc, etc, But, SS will not issue a new # unless the fraud is pretty extreme- ie, International. Or say person must enter witness protection.
I’m so tired of these thieves!

Stay safe my friend!!

anyone experience identity theft.

The ID Theft Resource Center is wonderfully helpful.
Call 1-888-400-5530. & leave a message.
They will get back to you right away.

Thieves a big into stealing licenses now too.
They can open bank accounts & get government benefits with your license #.

Unfortunately, they can still use your SS# to get employment.
This can cause a problem when you begin to collect SS. The government can end up overpaying you &
later claw back these funds due to the error.
