My old Golden smiled a lot, a really big smile showing all his teeth. One day after we'd had him for a short time, my dad came over and Butch ran up to him smiling. My dad started yelling, Sands, why is your dog threatening me! He was so distraught, he ran back behind the gate. I bust out laughing, Butch was wagging so hard, really trying to make friends. My dad was totally clueless about dogs! I finally quit laughing, showed my dad Butch was just happy to see him and wanted to be friends. They loved each other after that akward start.
