And I'm online with my brand spanking newly refurbished modem and now paying $15/month for 5G.
Suck it spectrum rectum! Your shit is already in the BOX! Goes out tomorrow!
Wednesday is the turn around date for my account where they start charging me if I don't cancel. So guess what tomorrow's all about!
And a kazillion thanks to jmbar2 for telling me about this ISP* service!! And as many thanks to DU for being here when I really needed you!!
Clearly the best thing that happened today.

(4,730 posts)The first time I heard it, a kid comes to school late and the teacher asks him if he has an excuse. The kid says he had to help his brother walk back home after he fell while climbing the apple tree on the way to school and a branch lodged up his bung-hole (poop-chute, cornhole, etc.) The teacher corrects him, "Rectum." The rest is history
There's a similar set-up with the punchline "I hardly knew him."
There's another similar joke about a nun and a priest/rector... you can imagine.
In either case, it's usually just the punchline after a word that rhymes, like what you did. So really, as long as you remember the punchline, that's all that matters!
A tried and true classic - 5-stars, it's got a good beat, and you can dance to it.

(91,538 posts)I can stream what I was streaming and browse DU at the same time, a couple other simple things and I shouldn't have to pay $100/month for it.

(91,538 posts)And thanks to DU, I had no interruption of service. The modem got here at exactly the hour it said on the tracker and all I had to do was put int he battery, plug it in and log on. Because there is 5G in my area, I have 5G on T-Mobile's system.
Big sigh of relief and $75.00 a month I can use for other things.
Feels good.

(91,538 posts)To happen today. Pretty sky, several rainbows, at sunrise and sunset, there were red, white and blue clouds, pretty cool, been doing that for a few days.
Are you drowning over there yet?
I think we're out of danger unless we get a lot of heavy rain for weeks.
MontanaMama
(23,941 posts)which just may keep us from the clutches of the massive fires that were predicted this year. Ive barely even had to water my yard! Its been a lovely summer so far. Fingers crossed
.

(91,538 posts)I have to water when it doesn't rain but we've been getting at least one, often more, good drenching every few days. Been raining once a day since last week, I'll take it, even if it only gets into the 60s most of the time, beats fires and smoke every day.
And it's July already. Town is having their parade today, I had no idea it would be today, and went into town because of appointments and to return that equipment to my former ISP. There's an artist walk at the RR depot, I might go during the parade when people rush off to that. I know a few artists who have booths at this one so I like to go and visit with them, sometimes buy something.
A few years ago I ran into someone who was my neighbor in touristown, been friends for over fifteen years, was a budding silversmith. I bought a pendant from him about five years ago that I really like, solid silver. Last year I encountered their former roommate from back then who told me the silversmith had gone abroad to hone their skills and is doing quite well now in the field. And then informed me that my pendant, that I purchased a while back, was now far more valuable than it was when I bought it. I like those kinds of things. So I think I should go see if that artist is there this year, it's been a while since we've done facetime.
Anyway, it's cloudy and probably going to rain on the parade, mostly -45 regalia, so it's a perfect day.

(91,538 posts)Best thing that happened yesterday.
And a smooth transition to my new service. The modem got here with 2 days to spare on my rectum account. Today I send their junk back and cancel my account.
And this modem is about 10% the size of the rectum equipment (3"X4" so I can put it in a different place in the room which means I have a whole corner of the room that can be reconfigured now that I don't have to make room for all that stuff which had to be connected to the cable line so it could only be in a limited location.
Yup, and if/when I move, this all goes with me and is usable as long as there's larger carrier access.

(5,914 posts)Glad to see you up and running.
I didn't suffer one minute of interruption, all I had to do was plug in the new modem and reroute the computer through it. I tested to see how streaming with tabs open, my usual usage, to make sure I have what I need. Soon as that was confirmed I was up and pulling the rectum equipment from the power sources. Feels really liberating.
Thank you SOOOOOOO much for the info! I have told a number of others who are interested in the service but also thrilled that they can either buy a computer too or donate the older ones they have and don't know what to do with them. A great organization.

(9,184 posts)The spectrum (rectum) saying still cracks me up.
Also, saying "suck it" cracks me up. I watch Midwest Magic Cleaning on Youtube and they clean hoarded houses for free, the creator is always talking about finding a moose in the hoard or says "suck it" frequently.
Anyway, I super happy that you're here to stay!!!!
I am happy to have DU to inform me about cool things like this. I knew, after about an hour of being really pissed, that going to DU and stating my problem that there would be several possible options offered up and one was bound to work. And I was right.
