no. It is not a flash from the camera. it is a real light (could be flash.) robinlynne Oct 2012 #11
p.s. if the flash were on camera, the mirror would be pure white. same difference. mirrors robinlynne Oct 2012 #12

lighting the easel. There can be no reflection in a mirror with a light facing it. you can see the direction of the lighting by looking at the shadows.
(former photographer here).

Two photographs, photoshopped with 2 different exposures would do it. one without the light turned on, one with. the image in the mirror would need a much longer exposure than the image made with the light.

sorry to say.

It's rotated to the left. You can tell by the angle formed by the top and bottom sides of the mirror.

camera straight on. It is exactly facing the light. The light is not above the camera. the light is high and to the left.

which light?
The flash light from the camera is coming from the right as you can see the shadow be cast on ground from light on easel's right leg.
The only other light is the natural light of sunset reflected in mirror.

We actually bring lights to photoshoots, and rarely place them on camera. Look at the wood, front of the easel, which is facing exactly the same direction as the mirror. the light is frontal to the easel, hence frontal to the mirror. Sorry, that can not be done without photoshop and 2 images.
still nice. but not real.

That happens when the light source is square-on in the mirror. Meaning, within the field of reflection. The mirror isn't square-on to the camera. It's a bounce, so the photographer and equipment aren't visible in the shot.

It's a fantastic shot, and looks 100% real to me.

Edit: As I suspected.
