Senator Sherrod Brown's checkered past

I am a hardcore Frank Zappa fan and just finished an excellent fan book called "Zappa the Hard Way" by Andrew Greenaway, about the legendary 1988 Tour. I live in Connecticut and went to maybe seven shows on that Tour, including the first in Albany.

Frank was working with the League of Women Voters at his shows to register people to vote. When the Tour went to Cleveland, Ohio Secretary of State Sherrod Brown named Zappa honorary Secretary of State!

I never made that connection until reading this book. I mention it because Senator Brown is a Liberal Democrat and I enjoy his frequent appearances on Rachel.

60 Minutes followed the tour a bit, as they were doing a feature on Zappa that was never aired. A shame.

Just wanted to share with my DU buds.
