For lovers of Irish music AND Jewish dance music ( you have to like both)

I dug this up after hearing it some 30 years ago. One of the greatest Irish folk groups ever, De Dannan, did this medley of two reels from Eastern Europe.

If your feet have any feeling in them at all, they will NOT keep still.

When the piece was first announced on BFBS, I said WTF? After I had heard the piece, I was just staring at the radio in amazement.

As an old acoustic fan from WAY back, I never know if tunes I find amazing find the same resonance elsewhere. There's another tune, completely different, that isn't up yet, but when it is, I'll post it, too, and see if it has the same resonance.

(I once overheard a fundie explain to another of our co-workers that "Celtic music
was for atheists and devil-worshippers" -- adding greatly to MY enjoyment was the
fact that she pronounced it, "Seltic music".)

Being so very Irish-y, I like Seltic music, but I also really really like klezmer.

Bowfire..what an interesting and apt name.
